Winners Announced: "Capture the Essence of Human Rights" Photo Contest Celebrates Youth Voices Across Europe

Neoanalysis in collaboration with Orula and yEUth is excited to announce the results of  the online photo contest under the Erasmus+ KA210 project, “Defending the Right to Humanity For All”. The contest was open exclusively to young people aged 18–30 from Greece, France, and the Netherlands. With the theme “Capture the Essence of Human Rights,” participants were encouraged to express through photography what human rights mean to them, how they inspire action, and their role in fostering a more inclusive society.

The selection of winners was conducted through an online voting system, ensuring fairness as each voter was allowed to cast only one vote. The winning entries were awarded as follows: 

First Prize (300 euros): Nikolaos Panagiotis Karatzas

Message: “In a blurred crowd, the red carnation stands in sharp focus—a symbol of justice. democracy, and the ongoing fight for human rights. A reminder that even in the noise of society, these values must remain clear and unwavering.”

Second Prize (200 euros): Ilya Verne Flipsen

Message: “Freedom is the wind rushing past, the rhythmic beat of hooves on open ground, and the endless horizon stretching ahead. It’s the feeling of breaking free, of moving with no restraints, where the world is vast and full of possibilities. Exploring, with nature unfolding in every direction, freedom is not just a thought—it’s a moment, alice and real.”

Third Price (100 euros): Evdokia Dimitriadou

 

Message: “The pure love. Roots nourish trees till the tree dies. Through the roots are not seen, they are the most important factor in the growth not only of trees but also for humans. It reminds me the circle of life. Everything that begins, ends. Everything that is born, someday is dead.”

The Erasmus+ project “Defending the Right to Humanity For All” inspired and equipped young people with the knowledge and tools to advocate for inclusion and social justice. By fostering discussions on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and encouraging youth participation in decision-making processes, the initiative aligned with the broader objective of promoting equitable and inclusive education for all.
