From April 28 to May 2, a group of young people from Poland and Greece came together for the second youth exchange of the KA2 Erasmus+ projects “EduExchange”. The Youth exchange took place in Thessaloniki and Litochoro, giving the opportunity to the participants to experience the difference between a big and a rural city.
The whole experience was based on non-formal education that engaged participants in fun, hands-on activities that helped them learn new skills, build confidence, and connect with others from different cultures.
Each day creative workshops, group games, and outdoor activities were scheduled. Whether it was through team-building exercises, sharing personal stories, or talking about pressing topics like the environment’s protection or inclusion, everyone had the chance to express themselves and learn from each other.
There were also cultural evenings where each country shared music, food, and traditions — a great way to celebrate our differences and find what connects us.
The two locations really added to the experience. Thessaloniki gave us the energy of a big city, full of history and culture. Litochoro, on the other hand, was the perfect place for connection with nature, reflection, hiking, and getting to know each other better.
This exchange included both fun and educational activities. It was a space for young people to take initiative, and step out of their comfort zones, to gain new skills and learn about a different culture. The non-formal approach made everything more relaxed and real, helping everyone feel comfortable and included.
